Job Description: The San Mateo County Harbor District seeks an experienced, flexible, and cooperative Assistant Director of Administrative Services who will oversee, direct, and participate in the functions and activities of the Administrative Services Department and is responsible for providing professional-level support to the Director of Administrative Services in a variety of areas. The Assistant Director of Administrative Services assists in short and long-term planning, development, and administration of departmental policies, procedures, services, and activities. Successful performance of the work requires an extensive professional background as well as skill in coordinating departmental work with that of other District departments and outside agencies. This class is distinguished from the Director of Administrative Services in that the latter has overall responsibility for all Administrative Services Department functions and activities.
