The City of Half Moon Bay is seeking the services of design professionals to develop a “Gateway Arch” that would become a unique, welcoming community landmark, directing visitors traveling from Highway 92 to the City’s downtown “Heritage Main Street.”
The Request for Proposals (RFP) can be downloaded from the BID/RFP Center (or by this direct link to the RFP). The deadline to submit proposals is 5:00 pm on October 3.
As a welcoming entrance, the Gateway Arch will serve to signal visitors’ arrival into Downtown Half Moon Bay, and reinforce the City’s rich identity, heritage, character, and charm. The Gateway Arch concept was derived from robust public input during the planning process for the recently approved Half Moon Bay Streetscape Master Plan.
Design professionals are encouraged to respond to the RFP and be part of creating a new, visible symbol greeting visitors to Half Moon Bay.
