SACRAMENTO, August 21, 2023 – The grant application window for the Healthy Soils Program (HSP) Demonstrations will close in one week, on Monday, August 28, 2023, at 5:00 p.m., PT.
NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
The HSP Demonstrations funds projects that showcase implementation of eligible practices and collect data on soil health and/or greenhouse gas emissions to inform future state investments in climate smart agriculture. These projects create an opportunity for local communities to visit and observe soil health practices in action and understand how those practices can translate to their own operations.
Nonprofit entities, university cooperative extensions, federal and university experiment stations, city and community colleges, and resource conservation districts (RCDs) are eligible to apply. California Native American Tribes, and farmers and ranchers can be in partnership with one of the aforementioned entities but are not eligible as HS Demonstration Program applicants or recipients.
For information on eligibility and program requirements, visit the Healthy Soils Program website: https://www.cdfa.ca.gov/oefi/healthysoils/DemonstrationProjects.html.
