The Division of the State Architect (DSA) will be holding a Public Workshop to hear proposals for modifications to the California Building Code (CBC), Chapter 11B Accessibility to Public Buildings, Public Accommodations, Commercial Buildings and Public Housing, on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 9:30 am. This meeting will be held virtually (online) with a phone in option.

CBC Chapter 11B is available to the public through many sources including local building and planning departments, law libraries, and at a number of websites (online). The International Code Council (ICC) makes Chapter 11B available to the public at: https://codes.iccsafe.org/content/CABC2022P1/chapter-11b-accessibility-to-public-buildings-public-accommodations-commercial-buildings-and-public-housing

Amendments to Chapter 11B that were approved as part of the 2022 Intervening Code Cycle but have not yet been published and become effective July 1, 2024 are available on the

June 6-8, 2023 Commission Meeting (ca.gov) under the DSA-AC banner.
