1A. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: COASTAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT AND USE PERMIT FOR NORTH WAVECREST PEDESTRIAN PATH, BEACH ACCESS, AND TRAILHEAD STAGING AREAS CITY FILE #: PDP-16-032
LOCATION: LANDS GENERALLY LOCATED SOUTH OF THE EXISTING NORTH WAVECREST GRAVEL PATH, NORTH OF THE WESTERN TERMINUS OF REDONDO BEACH ROAD, AND WEST OF SMITH FIELD / WESTERN TERMINUS OF WAVECREST ROAD.

Staff Recommendation: 1. Adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) and associated Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program (MMRP) (Attachment 2) for the proposed project; and

Approve PDP-16-032, an application for a Coastal Development Permit and Use Permit, to allow construction of a new segment of the California Coastal Trail with associated amenities for public use based upon the Findings and Evidence contained in Exhibit A of the Draft Resolution (Attachment 1), and subject to the Conditions of Approval in Exhibit B, and pursuant to the project plans (Attachment 3).

1B. ISSUANCE OF EMERGENCY COASTAL DEVELOPMENT PERMITS
Staff Recommendation:
By motion, confirm receipt of update regarding issuance of three Emergency Coastal Development Permits (ECDPs) for emergency work: 2804 Champs Elysee Boulevard, Myrtle Outfall Repair, and Seymour Drainage Outfall.
