Saturday, May 18, at 11:00 a.m. Meet at Quarry Park to take a walk through the trees. Did you know that there’s a Chinese Dawn Redwood in Quarry Park? Join the walk to see it and learn about the other plants, birds, animals, and bugs that make the park their home. We’ll check out what’s blooming, share the inspiring stories of the community members who saved the park from development, talk about the favorable geology,
and tell the surprising story of why and how we have this eucalyptus forest. This will be an easy walk, about one mile with a few steeper sections.
