I am a certified Jungian psychoanalyst, and this informs my relational approach to therapy with people who are motivated to address underlying reasons for their struggles. The presenting concern for many regards relationships. In fact, symptoms of anxiety and depression are usually rooted in relationships with primary attachment figures. Hidden wounds may manifest as life-long beliefs that you are damaged, overly sensitive, unhealthy, and have poor judgement. On the one hand you may be quite accomplished, socially and professionally, but deep inside you may suspect that you are irrevocably broken, eternally confused, and unlovable.
I have over 20 years of experience with a variety of clients. Many of these are highly functional and psychologically aware, but stuck in a pattern of self-doubt or self-loathing and often a powerful attraction to others with significant trauma wounds of their own. We can bring new insight to these issues. Our goal is a re-enchanted life.
Deep work takes time and commitment, and involves really honest conversations. With care, we reckon with the past. With hope that is grounded in reality, we look to the future, more fully aware of the challenges and opportunities the present holds. This approach is well suited to lifelong learners, spiritual seekers, and people in life transitions.
