The compromise brokered last week between labor and corporate chain representation achieved significant victories: sidestepping a costly ballot fight, stripping legislative authority from the Fast Food Council, and preserving the independence of California’s franchise model. Wage pressure is likely to be felt throughout the industry; for this reason, The CRA did not extend support for the compromise.
