Notice of 45-Day Public Comment Period
May 17, 2024 – July 1, 2024
The California Building Standards Commission (CBSC), on its own behalf and that of the Division of the State Architect, California Department of Water Resources, Department of Housing & Community Development, Office of Statewide Hospital Planning and Development, and Office of the State Fire Marshal, is providing notice of code changes intended for the 2025 California Building Standards Code, Title 24, which is scheduled for publication on July 1, 2025, with an effective date of January 1, 2026. The regulations were heard by the Green Building Code Advisory Committee and/or Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical and Energy Code Advisory Committee.
CBSC will accept written comments for at least 45 days between May 17 and July 1, 2024. All written comments for this period must be submitted no later than midnight on July 1, 2024.

The California Building Standards Commission (CBSC), on behalf of the California Energy Commission (CEC), is providing notice of a 45-day public comment period for proposed regulatory code changes to the 2025 California Green Building Standards Code, Part 11 of Title 24, California Code of Regulations.
The public is invited to provide input or comments on proposed code changes on or prior to July 1, 2024.
