The California Legislature and Governor approved the 2024-25 California State Budget to include $15 million for the Farm to Community Food Hubs Program. With funding in place, the California Department of Food and Agriculture Office of Farm to Fork team will resume developing the grant program.
The grant program will offer competitive grants that fund planning and development for food hubs that primarily operate as supply chain intermediaries between California agricultural producers and prioritize distributing to public institutions and nonprofit organizations.
See the website here for the estimated grant timeline and process.
