The City of Half Moon Bay has launched the Downtown Streetscape Master Plan project, and we want your input! This multi-phase effort involves re-imagining our Downtown through an extensive community outreach and engagement process, a thorough review of existing conditions, initial design, and a master plan. The primary objectives of the project are to: 

• Create a more attractive, accessible, sustainable, and economically vibrant Downtown.
• Preserve and enhance the existing character of Downtown.
• Prioritize improvements that benefit residents, businesses, and visitors

The City has hired Toole Design, a nationally recognized urban design firm, to lead this important work and help the community to imagine what is possible for Downtown.

The first opportunity for you to be involved is a “discovery workshop” taking place September 12 through 14, 2023. The three-day workshop will offer a variety of activities including public information meetings, field observations, open studio sessions, stakeholder interviews, and public outreach “roadshows” where Toole Design staff will visit community events or other places where people are gathering, to provide project information, gather input, and answer questions. There will also be a public meeting on September 13 at the I.D.E.S Hall from 6-8 pm. Spanish interpretation services will be available at this meeting.

Proyecto del Plan Maestro del Paisaje Urbano del Centro

La Ciudad de Half Moon Bay ha lanzado el proyecto Downtown Streetscape Master Plan, ¡y queremos su opinión! Este esfuerzo de varias fases implica reimaginar nuestro centro de la ciudad a través de un extenso proceso de alcance y participación comunitaria, una revisión exhaustiva de las condiciones existentes, el diseño inicial y un plan maestro. Los objetivos principales del proyecto son:

• Crear un centro más atractivo, accesible, sostenible y económicamente vibrante.
• Preservar y mejorar el carácter existente del centro de la ciudad.
• Priorizar las mejoras que benefician a los residentes, empresas y visitantes

La Ciudad ha contratado a Toole Design, una firma de diseño urbano reconocida a nivel nacional, para dirigir este importante trabajo y ayudar a la comunidad a imaginar lo que es posible para el centro de la ciudad.

La primera oportunidad para que usted participe es un “taller de descubrimiento” que tendrá lugar del 12 al 14 de septiembre de 2023. El taller de tres días ofrecerá una variedad de actividades que incluyen reuniones de información pública, observaciones de campo, sesiones de estudio abierto, entrevistas con las partes interesadas y “roadshows” de divulgación pública donde el personal de Toole Design visitará eventos comunitarios u otros lugares donde las personas se reúnen, para proporcionar información del proyecto, recopilar aportes y responder preguntas. También habrá una reunión pública el 13 de septiembre en el I.D.E.S Hall de 6 a 8 pm. Los servicios de interpretación al español estarán disponibles en esta reunión.
