The City of Half Moon Bay is partnering with ALAS and San Mateo County to offer the first Mental Health First Aid training completely in Spanish. The training will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Opportunity Center of the Coastside, 637 Main Street, in Half Moon Bay. Childcare and food will be provided.
We invite our Spanish speaking community to register here. Space is limited so advance registration is required.
This eight-hour training, led by a certified instructor from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, will offer participants a general understanding of mental health crises, substance abuse disorders, risk factors, and, most importantly, how to support an individual during a crisis or connect them with the appropriate resources.
The City’s goal is to continue creating mental health awareness throughout the community and offer this training to anyone who is interested. Past training sessions have been held in English.
