The Half Moon Bay Volunteer Fire Department started in 1879 as Hose Company No. 1 and held its first official meeting in 1899. That first meeting was at the IOOF Hall in Half Moon Bay.
Come to the same historic IOOF Hall on February 1 for the History Association’s winter program! Today’s Volunteer Firefighters will present the department’s colorful history and tales of courage through the years.
This event is a free presentation by the HMB History Association. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Program starts at 6 p.m. sharp.
