A year into its work supporting the local farm labor workforce, the Farmworker Affairs Coalition will be meeting only when deemed necessary as group leaders cite dwindling participation. The coalition announced its decision at the Farmworker Advisory Commission meeting on Sept. 13.
Representing the group, Victoria Sanchez De Alba and Lauren Silberman gave a presentation that took attendees back to the reason why the Farmworker Advisory Commission was created, the lack of personal protection equipment for farmworkers at the start of the pandemic.
