Half Moon Bay’s Strawflower Village shopping center, home to anchor tenant Safeway, has been sold to a construction company with offices in Redwood City, according to a release from the deal broker.
Matthews Real Estate Investment Services says the city’s largest retail center sold for $34 million to SJ Amoroso Construction Co. The seller was HMB Musich LLC, which bought the property in 2017 for $29 million. The broker says HMB Musich LLC decided to sell now in order “to restructure their portfolio,” according to Matthews Vice President Marko Buljan, who is quoted in the release.
