DSA | Structural Engineers Needed

 

 

The Division of the State Architect (DSA) is pleased to announce an opportunity for experienced and dedicated structural engineers to join the Public School Construction Collaborative (PSCC). The PSCC serves in an advisory capacity to the DSA, offering industry input and feedback on a wide range of issues related to the design and construction of K-12 schools and community colleges. Your participation will help ensure that the PSCC effectively meets its goals and enhances collaboration on the design and construction of public schools, and that the expertise of your profession is represented in this endeavor.

As a member of the PSCC, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with DSA to:

  • Advise the DSA on policy issues.
  • Review and comment on proposed legislation and provide insights on legislative changes.
  • Review and comment on the California Building Standards Code during Triennial and Intervening Code Cycles and provide insights on interpretive issues.
  • Review and advise the DSA on Interpretations of Regulations at the request of the State Architect.
  • Serve as a liaison to stakeholder groups.
  • Recommend and participate in research related to PSCC work.
  • Offer insight on matters that protect the intent of the Field Act.
