Role and Responsibilities:
- Teaching: Maintain a safe, student-centered learning environment. Guide whole class, small group, and individualized instruction in reading, writing, word study, social studies, and social-emotional learning. Regularly monitor and assess student learning and growth to inform instruction using a variety of tools and means.
- Curriculum Design: Plan a comprehensive, integrated curriculum that aligns with the school mission and grade-level learning goals. Craft thoughtful, engaging units of study designed to address the different learning styles of students in the class.
- Collaboration: Work with grade-level colleagues to ensure integration across subject areas. Consistently and clearly communicate with colleagues, administrators, and parents regarding student progress and any student issues.

We are looking for an inspired and student-centered educators with a Bachelor’s degree. Teaching credential or Master’s degree preferred. Experience and training in Writers’ Workshop and/or Project Based Learning is desirable. This person must have a current First Aid, AED and age-appropriate CPR certification. A Bachelor’s degree would be a plus. All employees undergo fingerprinting through Live Scan.
