Position Summary
General Labor is responsible for the day-to-day tasks within each assigned department. The General Labor tasks include but are not limited to: crop growing activities, packing, facility housekeeping, material handling. Additionally, responsible for supporting the materials and plant inventory for Rocket Farms Inc.
Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
- Ensure that all company processes and standards are being followed.
- Fill pots, seed/stick plants, space plants, weed, pinch, prune and work around machinery.
- Assemble and prepare product for shipping including, selecting of crops, sleeving, placing care tags, and assembling boxes according to customer orders and divisions.
- Palletize boxes and shrink- wrap pallets.
- Work responsibly and safely at all times. Report unsafe or hazardous condition to crew lead or supervisor.
- Maintain work area clean and safe at all times.
- Daily support other duties such as but not limited to: material and plant inventory as directed by supervisor or crew lead.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 + years related experience in related field required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts and schedules, including weekends.
Physical Requirements
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close distance and color vision.
