Salary Range: $120,000 – $180,000
Overview
A prominent multi-generational family is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Ranch Manager to oversee a family-owned property and manage daily operations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a diverse skill set and the ability to lead a small team effectively.

As Ranch Manager, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of daily operations, implementing improvements, and maintaining the property’s high standards. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on a prestigious ranch, working closely with a respected family to shape its future and preserve its legacy.
Expectations
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, ideally in a relevant field such as Agricultural Business, Mechanical Engineering, etc.
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing rural agricultural operations, including extensive knowledge of household maintenance and property management
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to confidently manage interactions with the Ranch Owner
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Possesses foresight to anticipate problems and solve them preemptively, finding opportunities to streamline operations
- Proactive, resourceful, and dependable with a hands on approach, willing to work with ranch hands when necessary
- Has a genuine service heart and commitment to excellence
Responsibilities
- Property Management: Oversee daily ranch operations, including cattle enterprise, hay production, and implementing property improvements.
- Ranch Maintenance: Familiarity in operating and maintaining water, power, electrical, and plumbing systems. Ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of all buildings, systems, equipment and vehicles and complying with agricultural and safety regulations, while conducting regular inspections.
- Financial Management: Develop operating budgets for all ranch activities, financial planning and record-keeping.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors and neighbors, negotiating contracts and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Project Management: Supervise ranch staff, assigning tasks and developing task lists in collaboration with the Ranch Owner. Managing activities between 4 ranch hands and hiring replacements as needed.

Upon commencing employment you will be granted a total of 2 weeks of
PTO each year, which will accrue each pay period. Up to 120 hours (15 days) can be accumulated and carried over from one year to the next.

New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
- Sick Days
The Company front loads 80 hours of sick time at the start of each calendar year.
Unused sick days do not carry over from one year to the next.
