The Mavericks Community Foundation is looking for support for our upcoming fundraiser, Coastside Gives 2024 and beyond. We are looking for a tech-savvy, independent, and organized Program Coordinator to manage a fundraiser from start to finish for over 60 nonprofits on the San Mateo County Coast. This is a temporary part time contract position that runs from November 2023 through June 2024.

About Coastside Gives:
Coastside Gives is a 24 hour online day of giving that benefits local nonprofits from Montara, CA to Pescadero, CA. Participating nonprofits provide a wide range of service programs including but not limited to the following categories: education, art, agriculture, senior & children services, environment, animal care, community improvement, LGTBQ supports and more. Since its inception in 2015 Coastside Gives has raised over $8.8 millions dollars in support of over 70 local nonprofits. More at www.coastsidegives.org
About the position: Program Coordinator for Coastside Gives
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all NPO’s (grantees), donors, partner organizations, and liaison to the Executive Director.
- Administration of technology platform (MightyCause) to include facilitating participant registration & awarding prizes on gives day.
- Provide assistance at trainings for nonprofit attendees on fundraising software, online giving, and communications.
- Collaborate with MCF staff, partners and strategic volunteers to host capacity-building sessions, informational meetings, and community events. Represent Coastside Gives at 1-3 Farmers Market Info Tables in April/May.
- Participate in regular team meetings regarding Coastside Gives, initially bi-monthly culminating in weekly meetings ahead of gives day.
- Keep the Coastside Gives website up to date including relevant dates and npo toolkit
- Candidates must have a reliable form of transportation to attend events and meetings on a regular basis in the Half Moon Bay CA., area.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 including SharePoint, OneDrive & Mailchimp preferred.
The contractor will:
- Be incredibly organized and have a system for maintaining organization.
- Skilled at providing clear instructions.
- Have a passion for social impact and/or fundraising.
- Be tech-savvy and comfortable learning and using different software.
- Be comfortable working independently and at times in an ambiguous environment.
- Take initiative and have a good attitude!
- Comfortable speaking in front of large groups.
- Have communications and/or writing experience, especially for nonprofits.
- Familiar with the San Mateo County nonprofit world. ** Please note, this is a temporary and part-time contract position where the hours vary from week to week. The schedule is flexible aside from regularly set meetings between Nov 2023-June 2024. Paid training will be provided for this position, date to be determined. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Salary is commensurate with experience in the range of $9,000-13,000 with 250-300 hours allocated for this project. We do not provide benefits.
