San Mateo County Health’s Behavioral Health and Recovery Services division has a vacancy for the position of Psychiatric Social Worker/Marriage & Family Therapist I/II Spanish speaking required for Adult Services,  located in the Coastside community of Half Moon Bay!

Position Details:

San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Coastside Clinic, located at the heart of beautiful Half Moon Bay, has career opportunities for Psychiatric Social Workers I/II or Marriage and Family Therapists I/II seeking to serve immigrants, first and second-generation Latinx youth and adults, migrant farmworkers, rural working class, and other underserved clients facing the large barriers to services and support every day.

About the Adult Outpatient Clinics:

All adult regional clinics provide outpatient psychiatric treatment to adults seeking treatment, 18 years and older, and diagnosed with a serious mental illness with severe functional impairments. We are part of San Mateo County’s safety net services and provide treatment to San Mateo residents without private insurance coverage. Each clinic is composed of a multi-disciplinary team of MDs, LCSWs, MFTs, Psychologists, Mental Health Counselors, Community Mental Health RNs, and Peer Support Workers and Specialists all work in a multidisciplinary team setting to provide ongoing, comprehensive treatment and support to support the client’s recovery.

About the Youth Outpatient Clinics:

The youth outpatient clinics serve children/youth ages 6-18 years old with significant mental health needs. Mental health assessments, case management, crisis management, psychiatric care, and medication management are embedded in the clinic services. Mental health treatment includes individual and family therapy that may be provided in the clinic and/or field setting. Field setting may consist of a school site, home, or community-based organization. The multidisciplinary team consists of mental health clinicians, peer partners, psychiatrists, and a supervising mental health clinician.
